Conclusion Statement

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything. -Plato

Theatre, music, and art shape the way I view the world and how I find my place in it. The stage has always been a place I felt comfortable and alive. By performing and creating art I have grown as a person tremendously since beginning high school. I have been able to learn the skills and techniques behind doing the things I love. I have set goals for myself and reached them this year by earning two lead roles and getting nominated for Artist of the Year in Fine Arts by my AP Art Teacher. Through my experience as a Rosary student in the Performing Arts Pathway I will be able to take those skills I have learned and apply them to the goals I have I after graduation. In addition to my coursework, I will be able to integrate the core values of Rosary in my service to others while continuing to grow as a learner and as a believer in Christ. The experiences, classes, and concepts I learned have prepared me for my future academic and artistic pursuits. I can set goals, problem solve, and communicate effectively. All of these will help me continue to think outside the box, try things that may be out of my comfort zone, and obtain the personal and professional life I would like to have in my future. Every showcase, show, and performance were like a piece of a large, beautiful puzzle. I poured myself into each one and came out stronger, more confident and more in love with performing and art as an expression of life. When I’m out in my community I use those opportunities to share music and theatre with others to make their day brighter. I am a life-long supporter of the arts, whether I am participating or watching others perform.  I’ve come to accept, appreciate, and love the person God created me to be, above all I know he created me out of love and that gives me such a huge sense of comfort and peace. Rosary taught me about the value of sisterhood, shared traditions, and what it means to live a faith-filled life. I have made life-long friendships, found my voice, and found a strength in myself that I didn’t know I had.
